As the genocide continues in Gaza by the apartheid regime of Israel, the crisis and the tension in the Middle East has become deeper and wider. Hence the expansion of war in the Middle East has become a serious threat. The Campaign “ Women’s Rights Movement Against Genocide -for Palestine” will hold a conference entitled,”Liberation of Palestine, the way forward in the Middle East and the world”. The conference attempts to present and examine what is happening in Palestine and the region.
The conference is scheduled on Saturday September 7th on Zoom.

Susan Abulhawa:
Palestinian Writer, human rights activists, animal rights advocate and Founder of non-governmental organization Playground for Palestine. She is known as a political commentator and a novelist.
Evelyne Accad:
A Lebanese-Beirut-born educator, Professor, writer, songwriter, poet, singer, anti-war and women’s right activists. She is known to be the one of first scholars to speak out against genital mutilation and crimes on women (honour killing). She survived the Beirut airport blast and witnessed MED airline burning to the ground by Israel bombardment.
Azar Majedi:
An Iranian communist activist, political activist for Women’s rights, writer, chairperson of the Organization for Women’s Liberation.
Tahani Abu Daka
Palestinian women’s rights activists and advocator of environment from Gaza. She built the first greenhouse project in Gaza. She was one of active participants on “Women, Peace, and Security” and how to promote stability in Gaza.
Buthina Canaan Khoury
A Palestinian women’s rights activist, Independent Palestinian Filmmaker. She established Majd Production Company in Ramallah city in 2000. The objective is to produce documentary about various crucial Palestinian issues, focusing on Women’s social and political problems.
Orgarit Younan:
from Lebanon, social and political activist, writer, educator, and advocator of secularism and civil marriage. Lead person to oppose of death penalty in Lebanon. Mobilizer against injustice, colonialism and sectarianism. She brought forward a set of guidelines that believed to accompany the latest Lebanese youth movement of 2011 working towards a civil secular state.
Maria Hagberg:
Activist, author, participated in many panels regarding the issues regarding violences against women.
Raiza Kolia
Raiza Kolia
Raiza Kolia from South Africa, and obtained her PHD and MBA in the US. Raiza is a social entrepreneur, a humanitarian aid service provider, an academic, a licensed mental health professional, and she has had a long career as a healthcare executive. In 2022, she left her career in the for-profit sector to start Reaching Across Borders (RAB), a non-profit organization focused on providing mental health services and gender economic empowerment to refugees globally. She has developed mental health programs and economic empowerment programs for refugees in Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Kurdistan, and Cameroon. Currently, she lives mostly in the Bekaa Valley, in Lebanon, where RAB has a center and she works with partners through the Middle East and Africa to provide services to refugees and the disenfranchised.
